We wish to advise the following Planned Hazardous Work has been scheduled by one of our upstream providers. Start Date/Time: 29-01-2021 22:00:00 AEDT End Date/Time: 30-01-2021 02:00:00 AEDT Location: Nationwide Impact: Hazardous Expected Outage: No Service Impact Description of Work: Please be advised that one of our upstream providers will be patching a core Session Border Controller (SBC) between 22:00 and 02:00 (AEDT), commencing on the night of January 29th, 2021. Patching session border controller is an important step to allow product development, continuity and support of the Aatrox Voice portfolio. The change has been performed in our upstream provider's lab with no impact and significant regression testing is currently underway to ensure there are no adverse effects resulting from the change. This work is not expected to be service affecting, and you should not notice any change in the behaviour of your services. We apologise for any inconvenience this work may cause. If you require assistance, please do not hesitate to call us on 0383972990 or email support@aatroxcommunications.com.au

**Date / time of Incident -** 18/01/2021 7:30 AM AEST **Date / time of Restoration -** 18/01/2021 9:04 AM AEST **Duration of Incident -** 1 Hour and 34 minutes **Impact:** ‌A subset of Aatrox Communications SIP trunking services registered on a specific realm experienced intermittent registration and call drops. **Root Cause and Resolution:** A Sydney core Session Border Controller \(SBC\) realm was working as expected however, SIP traffic failed to route resulting in a loss of services for some trunks. Registrations then failed over to a standby SBC to fully restore services. **Actions to mitigate recurrence:** An investigation is currently ongoing into the outage with our NOC team and upstream vendors on the root cause and mitigation actions. This PIR will be updated once the investigation has been completed.

Voice Service Outage

**Date / time of Incident -** 04/12/2020 1:23 PM AEST **Date / time of Restoration -** 04/12/2020 1:54 PM AEST **Duration of Incident -** 31 minutes **Impact:** ‌A subset of Aatrox Communications SIP trunking services experienced intermittent registration and call drops. **Root Cause and Resolution:** This Incident was caused by malicious SIP traffic hitting one of our public-facing SBCs, this then triggered the SBC to throttle bandwidth in processing the SIP signalling as part of our DDoS prevention mechanism. A temporary fix was to block the offending IPs as well as tweaking some realm protection settings to alleviate the flow-on impact to customers. **Actions to mitigate recurrence:** An investigation of the issue indicates that the standard DDoS protections are working as expected. However, an investigation is ongoing to mitigate a specific configuration change. This is currently under review and close to implementation. This should help to resolve the issues seen during the outage.
